When I'm trying to write my final about attention, and the section I'm currently working on is all about the decreases in attention that come from having distracting things in the environment

I'm watching the Top Chef marathon on Bravo.

sounds to me like you need to include Top Chef in your paper to prove the point. Or just switch topics in the middle of the paper and see if it gets noticed.

Haha. I could just throw in Top Chef quotes as random sentences throughout my paper and see if anyone notices.
And yes, I think we've figured out the reason why Shark Week is always on in the summer....
